Split Wings
We want to address a question that has come up regarding the use of split wings (open center) in our races. Approximately ten years ago, we made the decision to prohibit these wings due to safety concerns. The open center design creates a potential hazard, as it leaves an area where car parts—such as a front bumper during a flip—could enter the cockpit and pose a serious risk to the driver.
As we all know, motorsports inherently involve certain risks, and at English Creek Speedway, we are committed to minimizing these risks wherever possible. The safety of our drivers is our top priority, and we continuously strive to implement measures that enhance their protection.
We acknowledge that this rule has inadvertently dropped off our official rule book, and we are actively working to reinstate it in the appropriate section. Your understanding and cooperation in this matter are greatly appreciated as we prioritize the safety and well-being of everyone involved.
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to growth at English Creek Speedway. Together, we can ensure a safer and more enjoyable racing experience for all.
